So... What's with the name? Founded by Michael Cooper in 2003, the name "The Flying Barrel" comes from combining the Biblical angel, Michael, (hence the wings) and Cooper, which originated from the term, coopersmith, or barrel-maker. The Flying Barrel is a Christian-based business specializing in graphic design, photography, and promotional products. Our services include Web and print design, logo creation, creative photography, brand and image consulting, video editing and production, and much more!

Michael Cooper

Michael Cooper is a talented and driven designer and business owner focused on making advertising more than just "run-of-the-mill." Cooper started The Flying Barrel determined to "shake up the advertising industry" with his innovative ideas to better market businesses. Cooper's background is in Marketing and Advertising, and earned his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University. Cooper has worked for The Cowley Group Advertising Firm in Waco, TX as a Marketing Strategist, and spent four years with Professional Datasolutions, Inc. (PDI) as their Manager of Communications and Industry Relations.

And for the many that ask... No, the "tattoo" of The Flying Barrel logo on the arm above isn't real. Cooper is tattoo-free and plans to stay that way.
